Quicksand Cache is a 1-vs-3 coin minigame that appears in Mario Party 2 and Mario Party Superstars.
Introduction[]
The player in the Bowser Suit is standing in the middle of the quicksand. A coin then drops in, prompting Baby Bowser (or Bowser Jr. in Mario Party Superstars) to try and grab it, but not before sinking into the quicksand. The three players not in the middle fall in.
Gameplay[]
Coins and Coin Bags fall in the quicksand as the minigame starts. Three players have to avoid being sucked in the core so they can get more coins while the other player in the Bowser Suit controls the quicksand and gets coins automatically. If one of the players get sucked into the middle, that player won't be able to collect any more coins, but they will keep the amount they collected beforehand.
In the Mini-Game Coaster, the human player is part of the team of three, and must collect a certain number of coins to win; 10 for Normal; 15 for Hard. If the human player manages to collect the required coin amount, but ends up falling into the quicksand, they will still win the minigame.
